Hart is currently a partner and director of recording services at a new Marin County facility, Bay Area Sound Studios.

Formerly chief engineer and lead mixer at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, Calif., he has 25 years experience recording, mixing, and producing. Mix and tracking credits include David Bowie, Santana, John Lee Hooker, White Stripes, En Vogue, Stevie Ray Vaughn, MC Hammer, Tony Bennett, Issac Hayes, Otis Redding, Oscar Peterson, the Nevilles, Booker T., and Steve Cropper. Film Scoring credits include Titanic and Grizzly Man. Hart has multiple Gold and Platinum Albums and has contributed to the sale of 40 million albums.
