Gabe Adiv
TuneUp Media, CEO
Avid music lover and industry leader, Gabriel Adiv, founded TuneUp Media in 2007, which has since developed the #1 selling plug-in for iTunes, with support for Windows Media Player, and has amassed over 2.5 million registered users worldwide. TuneUp was born out of the personal frustration with the shortcomings of his own digital music library; too many songs titled ‘Track 01’, no cover art, and no easy means of accessing additional album, artist or concert information. Everything he loved about his vinyl & CD collection was lost in translation, as the digital music industry scrambled to catch up. TuneUp not only addresses these issues, but also taps the broader digital and social media universe to create an experience far beyond anything Adiv could have found in his liner notes. Additionally, Adiv has several entrepreneurial ventures under his belt, along with a variety of roles in sales, business development and marketing, including 5 years with Gracenote. Marcos Lara
Co-Founder, SocialGeni.us, Maker of AudioVroom.
<br >
“When I was 12 years old, I took apart our top loading VCR. To my
mother’s shock and disbelief, it continued to work after I put it back
together again…” Marcos has always enjoyed breaking things and to see
how they work. Tackling tough projects with problem-solving and
engineering skill, he loves designing something totally
new – particularly wireless and location based services… And he has
done just that over the past 15 years since graduation from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute (RPI). In addition to an early SDMI based
music project, Marcos was intimately involved with information
security (receiving his CISSP certification in the process),
technology management (for Ikea & Brooks Brothers back in the mid
’90s) and more recently wireless networking (running 18 public WiFi
networks for NY City Park Department and co-founder of the Bryant Park wireless network in 2002). It was Marcos’s vision and architecture
that brought together the talented group of developers to create
AudioVroom.
In his spare time, Marcos can be found socializing with friends in the
Lower East Side or on his Ducati motorbike somewhere between Manhattan
and Bear Mountain.

College and community radio plays a vital role not only in the music industry, but as a irreplaceable home to independent voices. 13 of approximately 200 such stations have been lost in the past five years, acquired by companies like Public Radio Capitol who equate them with “beachfront property.” Innovative companies can play a critical role by viewing and valuing these stations as peer-to-peer/social networks, content providers, and hubs of authentic trustworthy voices.
